Terms & Conditions

Please carefully review the following studio policies, booking terms, and service conditions prior to securing a Studio M booking.

By submitting payment and completing a booking, inquiry, or checkout process, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to all Studio M by Michaela policies, timelines, and Terms & Conditions outlined below.

01 — STUDIO HOURS

Studio M operates Monday–Thursday from 8AM–5PM ET.

The studio is closed Friday through Sunday.

All communication, revisions, timelines, and final file deliveries take place during studio business hours only.

Messages submitted outside of studio hours will be responded to during the next available business day.

02 — BOOKING & PAYMENT POLICY

All bookings are secured only after:

  • payment has been successfully submitted,
  • the required booking form has been completed,
  • and all required files/assets have been successfully provided.

Studio M reserves the right to decline, cancel, or refuse any project request that does not align with the studio’s services, availability, values, or creative direction.

All pricing is listed in USD.

Payment must be made in full prior to the beginning of any project unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

03 — NO REFUND POLICY

Due to the custom, creative, digital, and time-based nature of Studio M services, all sales are final.

Studio M does not offer refunds, exchanges, cancellations, partial refunds, or payment reversals under any circumstances once a booking has been secured.

By completing checkout and submitting payment, the client acknowledges and agrees that:

  • they have carefully reviewed all service details,
  • turnaround timelines,
  • booking policies,
  • pricing information,
  • and Terms & Conditions prior to purchasing.

Chargebacks, payment disputes, unauthorized payment reversals, or fraudulent claims made after work has begun or after booking has been secured may result in:

  • immediate termination of services,
  • revocation of design usage rights,
  • refusal of future services,
  • and potential legal action where applicable.

04 — CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Clients are responsible for:

  • providing accurate project information,
  • submitting all required assets/files,
  • carefully reviewing all service descriptions,
  • reviewing timelines prior to booking,
  • and responding to communication requests in a timely manner.

Failure to provide required information, files, approvals, or communication may delay project timelines.

Studio M is not responsible for delays caused by incomplete submissions, delayed communication, missing assets, or failure to approve collaborator access where applicable.

05 — TURNAROUND TIMES

All turnaround timelines begin only after:

  • payment has been received,
  • booking forms have been completed,
  • and all required files/assets/access have been successfully submitted.

Business days do not include Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays.

Turnaround timelines are estimates and may vary slightly depending on:

  • project scope,
  • revisions,
  • client responsiveness,
  • or studio capacity.

Studio M reserves the right to extend timelines when necessary to preserve project quality, workflow balance, or creative direction.

06 — REVISIONS

Studio M includes minor revisions within select services unless otherwise stated.

Revisions must remain within the original agreed-upon project scope.

Excessive revisions, additional concepts, redesign requests, or substantial direction changes may result in additional fees.

Studio M reserves the right to refuse revision requests that exceed the original scope of the booking.

07 — PRIORITY SERVICES

Priority services are expedited bookings offered in limited weekly quantities.

Priority timelines apply only to the specific deliverables outlined within each service description.

Current priority timelines apply to static design services only and do not include motion design unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

Priority timelines do not override:

  • missing client assets,
  • delayed communication,
  • collaborator access delays,
  • or revision delays caused by the client.

08 — SHOPIFY SERVICES

Clients booking Shopify-related services are responsible for:

  • providing Shopify collaborator access,
  • approving collaborator requests,
  • and ensuring storefront accessibility prior to project start.

Studio M is not responsible for delays caused by:

  • inaccessible storefronts,
  • missing login approvals,
  • third-party applications,
  • platform limitations,
  • or Shopify-related outages/issues.

Studio M storefront services are visually focused design services and do not include extensive backend management, advanced custom development, large-scale product uploads, or enterprise-level engineering unless otherwise agreed upon.

09 — INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & PORTFOLIO RIGHTS

Studio M retains the right to display completed work, concepts, previews, and project visuals within:

  • portfolios,
  • social media,
  • marketing materials,
  • website galleries,
  • and promotional content unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

Clients may not:

  • resell,
  • redistribute,
  • alter,
  • or claim Studio M work as their own.

Final ownership rights transfer only after full payment has been successfully received.

10 — COMMUNICATION & CONDUCT

Studio M reserves the right to immediately terminate communication, bookings, or ongoing projects involving:

  • harassment,
  • abusive behavior,
  • threats,
  • disrespectful conduct,
  • excessive hostility,
  • inappropriate communication,
  • or harmful behavior toward the studio.

In such cases:

  • no refunds will be issued,
  • project access may be revoked,
  • and future bookings may be permanently refused.

11 — LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Studio M by Michaela is not liable for:

  • business losses,
  • platform outages,
  • third-party software issues,
  • Shopify disruptions,
  • lost profits,
  • launch delays caused by missing client materials,
  • or indirect damages associated with the use of studio services.

Clients assume full responsibility for reviewing all final deliverables prior to launch, publishing, printing, or distribution.

12 — AGREEMENT

By securing a Studio M booking, submitting payment, completing a booking form, or continuing with any studio service, the client confirms that they have:

  • read,
  • understood,
  • and agreed to all Studio M by Michaela Terms & Conditions, policies, timelines, and booking requirements outlined above.
